PRCI 
The Public Relations Council of India organizes the annual Global Communication Conclaves with different thought-provoking themes. This year's theme was also apt and relevant-Custodians of Reputation: Building a New Narrative. The two-day Conclave held on 11 th & 12 th November 2022, in Hotel Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, was inaugurated by Mr. Arup Biswas, Minister for Power, Housing, Youth and Sports, Government of West Bengal. He lauded the role of PR professionals in nation-building and also at the time of crisis management. The keynote speaker Mr. Kanchan Gupta highlighted the changes over the years in information technology and how one needs to tune in with the changing times. He also focused on the pre and post-pandemic era. Among others who spoke on this occasion were Mr. Dhruba Mukherjee, Mr. Suman Mukherjee and Mr. Arindam Sil. The inaugural session also witnessed the presence of Mr. M.B. Jayaram, Chief Mentor& Chairman Emeritus, Dr T.Vinay Kumar, National President, Mrs. Geetha Shankar, Director, Chinnmaye Praveen,YCC Head and Mr. K.Ravindran, Senior VP and Conference Chairman Mr. Ashim Ray Chowdhary.
 
The inaugural session was followed by panel discussions on important topics like News Channels-Are we in the right direction, PR in Travel and Tourism Business, Academic Performance and Economic Growth-The Connection, Digital Media-More misunderstood than understood, Transformational PR for Emerging and Transforming Countries, Academic Excellence Vs Street Smartness and Diagnostic Technology for Health Care. The panel discussions evoked a lot of questions and responses from the audience.
 
Special sessions were organized on Mind Management by Brahma Kumaris, Kolkata, PR in Banking by Mr Ajay Agarwal, Banking by the Common Man by Dr Rajiv Kishore Dubey, Money Management –Personal Finance Planning by Mr Shankar Subramanium and Brain Communication by Prof. Radhakrishnan. The delegates very much appreciated the sessions.
 
The Chanakya Awards were presented to Corporates, Institutions and Individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields. In addition, the "Hall of Fame "awards were given to exceptional PR professionals. Mr Ravindra Kumar, Editor, Statesman and Ms Suchandra Vaniya, the eminent film star's presence, added value and glamour to the Conclave. They handed over the recognitions to the award winners in the Conclave.
 
The valedictory session Chief Guest was Mr Shovan Dev Chottapadhay, Minister for Agriculture, Government of West Bengal, who expressed his happiness for PRCI organizing the Global Conclave in Kolkata. He also focused on the pivotal role of Public Relations professionals in the changing business environment.
 
This year Conclave held in Kolkata was supported by the Kolkata Chapter and PRCI Chapters PAN India, along with delegates from Bangladesh and Nepal participated.
